Restaurants in Jesmond are running their own 'NE2 Restaurant Week' and offering diners the chance to eat from around £15 a head.

The week of deals has been arranged by the independent restaurants in Newcastle's NE2 postcode, to coincide with NE1 Restaurant Week , which sees restaurants in the city centre offering deals to entice diners through the doors in January.

Jesmond is home to some of Newcastle's best restaurants, including the recently renovated Peace and Loaf, named among Britain's top five best restaurants by Open Table. The Patricia and Bistro Forty Six - both of which made the 2020 Michelin Guide - are also in the neighbourhood.

But Jesmond venues can not officially join the city centre's Restaurant Week due to their NE2 postcodes, so they have arranged their own.

NE2 Restaurant Week runs until Sunday January 26. Book ahead and mention the Restaurant Week deal when you call.
