Jamie Carragher has insisted that Liverpool will allow two or three players to leave the club before the transfer window shuts after a double swoop for Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota.
The Reds embarked on a £60million+ spending spree after a relatively quiet summer with two big signings to bolster their squad.
Thiago adds a different type of midfield maestro with a contrasting skillset to those already in the squad, whilst Jota will add further depth to Liverpool's forward line.
Equally, the addition of Greek left-back Kostas Tsimikas has filled another hole in the squad, which has left supporters delighted.

However, with fresh recruits incoming, it has raised questions over the futures of certain members of the squad, with central midfield, in particular, a packed area.
With that in mind, Carragher has voiced his delight at Liverpool's transfer activity but predicted there will be outgoings at Anfield.
“I think it’s given people a lift (the two new signings)," Carragher told Sky Sports.
"Every set of supporters now, it’s almost like the transfer window becomes something separate to who can win the Premier League.
"It’s almost, ‘Who can win the transfer window? It’s a big thing on social media, supporters get so excited or so wound up if their club isn't doing business.
"Liverpool supporters got a huge boost by signing those two players but I think when Liverpool won the league, there were areas as early as last season that needed strengthening.
"They didn’t have a back-up left-back at all - they’ve done that. Midfield, you could say they needed to add someone with a bit of class on the ball - they’ve done that.
"The attack, you could say they needed someone a bit stronger than Divock Origi - I think in Jota, they’ve done that.
"Really good business, but there’s no doubt in the next couple of weeks, there will be two or three players leaving Liverpool.”
