James Nesbitt to star alongside The Stranger’s Richard Armitage in new Netflix drama Stay Close

NETFLIX’S adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel, The Stranger, was one of the most talked-about shows this spring.

Now the streaming giant is bringing another of his books to the screen with new drama Stay Close.

Richard Armitage, who starred in The Stranger, will appear in the eight-part series alongside Cold Feet star James Nesbitt.

The pair will join Deadwater Fell actor Cush Jumbo and Bancroft leading lady Sarah Parish.

The writers and producers of The Stranger will also return to work on the thriller.

Cush will play a working mum called Megan whose life becomes entwined with a detective, played by James, who is unable to let go of a missing person’s cold case.

Harlan is particularly excited, saying: “Talk about a dream-come-true cast.

"Cush Jumbo, and incendiary and awesome talent Jimmy Nesbitt.”

I think the novelist can expect more adaptations . . .
