James "Arg" Argent has finally had his successful £10,000 gastric operation.
Now the singer, 33, revealed the gruesome extent of his recovery, including throwing up blood, following a successful gastric op.
At nearly 27 stone, the reality star Arg had sleeve gastrectomy op at Transform, a top clinic in Birmingham last week.
He hopes to get down to 16 stone.
On the road to recovery, the former TOWIE star admitted it was "quite scary" being randomly sick and "lots of blood" coming up.
The TV personality has to inject himself daily and cannot eat solid food for six weeks including his favourite meals like pizza.
“It is quite scary when you’re just randomly being sick and you’re seeing lots of blood come up,” he told The Sun.
At times it has been a struggle where he has found it difficult to keep even water down.
However, Arg has been feeling the benefits of the operation as he said he feels like he's losing weight already.
He added: “I’ve already got a bit of a glow back in my face so I’m happy with that. And I feel like I’m already losing weight, which is good.”
Arg has been left with five scars on his stomach after he went under the knife.
Before the operation, he said he had to stick to a strict diet of 1,000 calories a day for three weeks.
Concerned Arg admitted his BMI had to be below 50 for the operation but he was 49.7 and 26st 11lbs.
During his time in the spotlight, the TV personality has struggled with his weight and battled an eating disorder.
Arg famously slimmed down to a trim 14st in 2015.
He had begun to lose weight again recently before lockdown saw his weight increase to nearly 27 stone.
Lockdown saw the star quit exercise and replace drugs with unhealthy takeaways.
Recently, the star sadly remarked he dodged going out in the day because he didn't want to be seen.
