Manchester United’s Sancho blow
Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Jadon Sancho will remain with them next season and not join Manchester United.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday afternoon, sporting dorector Michael Zorc, said: “We plan with Jadon Sancho. He’ll play for us next season. The decision is final. I think that answers all of the questions.”
Monday marked the deadline Dortmund imposed for United to agree any deal to sign the England attacker.
The Bundesliga side are keen for their players to focus on next season and imposed a deadline in order to get their business done before their preparations got under way.
The news will be a big blow to Man Utd fans, wth the club having made him their number one target.
The chase for David Brooks
Tottenham, Everton and West Ham will all challenge Liverpool for the signing of £35m-rated Wales star David Brooks, according to reports.
The Star claim all four sides are keen on Brooks after Bournemouth's relegation, with Jurgen Klopp a known admirer.
Klopp is said to be keen to add width to his squad.
Havertz agrees five-year deal
RMC Sport claim Chelsea have agreed a five-year contract with Kai Havertz.
Bayer Leverkusen have been adamant that they will not agree any transfer for Havertz whilst they remain in the Europa League, but the Blues currently lead the race for the attacking midfielder.
He is now reported to have agreed personal terms at Stamford Bridge ahead of a proposed transfer, which is likely to take place later this month.
Liverpool told Carlos asking price
Sevilla have told Liverpool that the Anfield club must pay £68m if they want to buy defender Diego Carlos.
The Brazilian has attracted major interest from across Europe in recent months and Jurgen Klopp’s side were linked with a move for him in January.
Spanish publication Sport reported the Reds believed the 27-year-old would be Virgil van Dijk's new central defensive partner.
The Daily Star has now highlighted reports from AS that the player is aware of the interest in him, while Sevilla will also lower their valuation in a bid to attract offers.
Lacazette set for Atletico switch
Alexandre Lacazette will reportedly join Atletico Madrid once Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signs a new deal at Arsenal.
The Gabon international is thought to be close to extending his stay in north London, although that could spell the end for his strike partner with the Gunners.
According to the Daily Star , Lacazette is on course for a £30million move to Spain, having nearly joined Diego Simeone’s side back in 2017.
The Frenchman is said to be unhappy to be no more than a bit-part figure in Mikel Arteta’s plans going forward, with his place under threat as Arsenal close in on the signing of Willian.
Potters poised to sign defender permanently
James Chester is due to sign for Stoke City on a permanent basis.
The 31-year-old is a free agent after his contract at Premier League Aston Villa expired and he spent the second half of the 2019/20 campaign at the bet365 Stadium.
He played 16 times and helped Michael O’Neill’s side retain their Championship status.
