However, the Will Mellor played character accidentally shot Natasha Blakeman as she was dressed in the same Morticia Adams costume as Leanne during the Halloween themed episodes.

Natasha died from her gunshot injuries in tragic scenes during Monday's edition of Coronation Street.

The soap character left behind her son Sam, who is played by St Helens ' Jude Riordan.

In the first part of tonight's show, Sam was shown to be bravely dealing with grief as he was asking Nick Tilsley if he could see his mum's body at the funeral home.

Nick was initially hesitant, however he decided to accept Sam's request after poignant scenes when Sam discussed the loss of his mother.
