What it was like to be at one of the world's first socially distanced live music events as Sam Fender played a second gig at the Virgin Money Unity Arena

Sam Fender has played to an audience of some 2,500 fans in the second of what promoters claim were the world's first socially-distanced concerts.

The 26-year-old singer-songwriter performed two home-town gig at Newcastle's Gosforth Park this week - the UK's first music events of their kind since coronavirus restrictions were introduced in March.

The events at the pop-up venue, named the Virgin Money Unity Arena, looked very different to how we all remember live music.
