A group of travellers have set up camp at Worden Park, in Leyland.
There are five caravans and various vehicles on the beauty spot's car park, located on Worden Lane.
It is thought they arrived at around 3pm on Tuesday (November 27).
South Ribble Borough Council, who own the land, has confirmed they are aware of the situation.
They claim to have been in contact with the travellers to inform them they are tresspassing.
If the travellers do not move, the council says it will seek a court order for their removal.
Andrew Richardson, assistant director of neighbourhoods at South Ribble Borough Council, said: “A group of travellers with five caravans and various vehicles arrived on Worden Park just after 15.00 Tuesday afternoon.
"The council has informed them that they are trespassing on council land and should they not leave the site, the council will seek a court order for their removal.”
