I'm A Celebrity campmates have reportedly lost a whopping five stone in weight between them since arriving in the jungle and embarking on their ITV adventure Down Under.

The 12 famous faces have been tucking into smaller portions than they are used to and rationing on rice and beans as they become fully immersed in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! jungle life one week in.

According to recent reports in The Sun , show bosses estimate that each of the initial ten contestants have lost at least half a stone — more than three kilograms.

It is also thought that former camp leader James Haskell has lost the most weight after being the heaviest celebrity to enter camp this series.

Campmates are rumoured to have a a daily intake of around 700 calories, which is less than half the amount Rugby hunk James, 34, would have been used to eating at home.

The contestants are also forced to endure the Australian Outback's sweltering temperatures which are thought to have exceeded 30 degrees on most days.

A jungle insider recently discussed the celebrities' weight loss with the publication.

The source revealed: "There’s not been a lot of food on offer this first week, with many subjected to just basic rations and even when the food has been won through trials it’s still tiny portions compared to what many are used to.

"James has seen the biggest drop in weight, which is not surprising given how big he was when he went in. But some of the others – including Ian and Kate Garraway – have seen a big difference already too."

Arsenal football legend, Ian Wright , 56, has been one of the most vocal campmates in declaring how badly the lack of food has been affecting him.

One episode even showed the star feverishly tucking into contraband that was smuggled into the main camp after some of the celebs sneakily brought chicken and corn-on-the-cob back from their roast dinner treat.

Meanwhile GMB star Kate, 52, has described winning stars on Bushtucker trials as similar to having 'gold' as more stars mean more food.

The former camp leader claimed he was "wasting away" due to the lack of nutritional food on offer in the jungle.
