I’m A Celeb fans spot ‘real reason’ Matt Hancock went into the jungle after his z-list launch party

I’M A Celeb fans believe they’ve spotted the ‘real reason’ Matt Hancock went into the jungle after a z-list launch party.

The former Health Secretary had initially told viewers he hoped to raise awareness about dyslexia in the jungle.

But now people believe it was for a different reason entirely.

Fans took to social media after Matt’s recent book launch to suggest he actually went on the ITV show to promote his new book.

Matt, 44, defended his own response to the pandemic, while laying into care home bosses, ex-No10 aide Dominic Cummings and a string of others in his new book, Pandemic Diaries.

Another added: “You have a cheek, this is definitely why you went in the jungle.”

The MP was quizzed over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic before he was seen getting emotional and being hugged by his co-stars while in the jungle.

Grovelling Matt tried to explain the reasons behind his affair during the Covid lockdown as he was quizzed by Charlene White.

The former Health Secretary was caught out having an affair with his aide Gina Coladangelo while much of the nation was on lockdown.

He was seen getting emotional after issuing an apology, and explaining he understood he made a "big mistake".

Matt cited one of the reasons for being on the show as “just wanting forgiveness.”

None of the MP's I'm A Celebrity co-stars were in attendance appearing to confirm long-running rumblings of a feud between campmates and Matt.

The third-place finisher didn't look too bothered though as he rubbed shoulders with Boris Johnson's dad Stanley, former Chancellor George Osborne and Jeffrey Archer.

He also cuddled up to his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo, who travelled to Australia to greet him as he left the jungle.

Matt was also supported by Loved Island stars Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, who defended their decision to attend.

I'm A Celebrity stars were recently accused of "bullying" Matt after he was snubbed from a camp WhatsApp group.

Campmate Scarlette Douglas admitted the politician was not a part of the group chat.

The A Place In The Sun presenter revealed Mike Tindall - who Matt has denied bullied him - is the group's admin.

She then told how the group thought Matt “might be too busy” to take part in it.
