I’m 37 and a mom – people say I need to stop dressing like I’m 21 but I don’t care, I think I look great

A 37-YEAR-OLD mother has come under fire online for her youthful choice in attire, but she doesn't care what her critics may think.

She shared several videos asserting that she doesn't care what others think and enjoys dressing like she's supposedly in her 20s.

TikTok content creator Jodi Collins is a self-described millennial mama who encourages others to feel confident enough to wear whatever they want, no matter their age.

She shares her creative style and inner confidence with viewers on the platform in many of her videos.

In one particular video, she goes against the grain by subtly hitting back at people who criticized her sense of fashion at her age.

The subtitles written on the screen read: "You're 37. Why are you still dressing like you're 21?" as she displays an example of a negative comment she's received.

Appropriately captioned "Why not, Karen?" Collins shows off a chic festival outfit, proving that she is a mom with style.

The content dons a gold diamond-encrusted strapless bustier with a sweetheart neckline that she matches with a black glitter see-through skirt and throws a silver western-style belt on top.

The fashionista completes the look with ankle-high black cowboy boots and a massive smile on her face.

Collins simply twirls, poses, and laughs as she appears to have the time of her life and ignores any negativity.

In a similar video, she shares the same sentiment but brings her young son into the moment.

That TikTok is meant to be a clap back at societal norms that suggest that, since she's a mom, she should dress a certain way, which she fully rejects.

The words "Society: when you become a mom, don't you dare think about expressing yourself as an actual human" are written at the top left of the screen.

Collins pulls out another cool outfit, a multicolored open vest that she throws on top of a black sparkly mini dress and black combat boots.

The main character of the video is her young son, who happily pulls and tugs at his mother's arm.

"Luv it n agree ppl say s**t just cause they’re not brave enough themselves smh..do what u want. Stay gorg," one viewer commented on a post.

"I am 43, entering my don't give a s**t age. I'm gonna wear that outfit I WISH I was brave enough to wear in my 20s every once in a while! love!" another wrote.

"Because, personally, I feel better about myself in my mid 30’s than I ever did in my 20’s. You look gorgeous!" another added.
