Footage shows hundreds packed into a warehouse for an illegal rave in London.

A video on social media shows the attendees ignoring social distancing and not wearing face masks at the all-night rave in Barking on Saturday night in front of a live DJ.

Many brazenly filmed themselves and pump their fists in the air at the illegal rave.

The lockdown-busting rave happened in the capital - which is in Tier 2 - on Saturday night going into Sunday morning.

The footage sparked outrage on social media.

Lee Smart said: "Irresponsible bunch of c***s."

Others said "need to get on that s**t ASAP" and "guys wtf this is in the UK. How are we missing out on it??"

But many that attended said they "loved every moment" and that a "revolution is here".

People also abused a woman for reporting the incident to the Met Police on Twitter, calling her a "snitch".

A raver added: "First rule of secret policeman's ball is don't tell, yet here they are."

In a now deleted Twitter post, people also shared Covid-19 conspiracy theories.

The Mirror has contacted Met Police for comment.

It comes as police shut down another illegal rave in Stanmer Park, Brighton, at about 2.30am on Sunday, dispersing some 200 party-goers.

Police warn that organisers of illegal raves can be fined £10,000 for breaking coronavirus restrictions.

The rave happened at a warehouse in Barking

Last week, a party organiser was handed the huge fine after a rave was busted by police.

Up to 100 partygoers attended the illegal gathering with bouncers, DJs and a buffet defying  coronavirus  restrictions.

Officers discovered DJ mixing desks, industrial speakers and a buffet spread when they broke up the party just before 11.30pm in Greater Manchester.

The organiser was fined £10k after defying the Government's Rule of Six which bans parties or gatherings of more than six people in England.

It came less than 24 hours after the region went into Tier 3 lockdown at 12.01am on Friday which also bans households from mixing indoors.

ACC Mabs Hussain, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "This party was a blatant disregard of the rules and for public health.

"It is totally unacceptable in the current crisis the whole world is facing and is not what we want our officers to be spending their time doing.

"We had no alternative but to issue the maximum penalty for breaching the legislation on large gatherings and I hope this serves as a reminder to those considering to flout the rules - we will take action."
