Hull student 'glassed' man in pub garden brawl
A student at the University of Hull has narrowly avoided jail after an “ugly” pub brawl which saw her try to glass a man.
The man suffered injuries to his hand after moving it to protect his face when he saw Courtney Neve, 24, of Sibelius Road, west Hull, throwing a gin glass at him.
Neve was passing the Drum and Cymbals pub on June 21 last year, when she was called over for a drink by the victim - who she classed as a friend of her and her ex partner.
The student, accompanied by her mum and her friend, sat down and started chatting to the man, but while drinking her gin and lemonade, he made a comment which made her fly into a shocking rage, Hull Crown Court heard.

There is the usual slow traffic on the A63 at Roger Millward Way and Mytongate roundabout, according to traffic information site Inrix.
Things remain fairly clear elsewhere, but we will provide any updates as they come in.
'Paedophile' caught in pants by 'hunters'
A video has emerged showing a man accused of sending photos of his “mouldy” genitals headbutting a wall in a tense stand-off with paedophile hunters.
The video, which shows the man in his boxers, was filmed on Facebook Live on Saturday by SKO - Safeguarding Kids Online on behalf of Fleetwood Enforcers UK.
The man, from Goole, is alleged to have been chatting to what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl and sent a picture of his private parts.
