People in Hull have reacted to the bizarre weather seen in the city on Friday.
There were some stark contrasts throughout the day and across different parts of the city.
Hull saw bright sunshine, thunder storms and even hail showers in the most changeable of summer’s days.
One person joked on twitter: “Today's weather at a glance for Hull: rain, wind, hail, rain, wind, spitting, thunder, lightning, hail, rain, bloody bright sunshine.”
And it’s hard to argue. Even within the city the skies have been inconsistent with some areas enjoying bright sun, while just a few miles away others suffered huge downpours.
But it never stayed the same for long. One woman said: “Yeah, if you don't like the weather in Hull wait five minutes lol.”
Another tweeted: “Flipping hell, we have had all the weather in Hull today. Sunshine, pouring rain, thunder and now hail.”
While one marvelled at the spectacular skies and tweeted some brilliant snaps of the clouds.
Moving in to the weekend, the changeable weather might continue.
The Met Office forecast for Hull on Saturday includes winds, showers and sunny intervals.
It said: “Rather cool and cloudy with occasional showers, and some longer spells of rain at first, but with some sunny intervals in the afternoon.
“Winds gradually easing through the day. Maximum temperature 14C.”
And it’s similar picture for Sunday with rain and showers easing later in the day.
