More than 100 new jobs are being created in East Yorkshire with the expansion of the UK’s top trade kitchen supplier, Howdens.

The company, which currently employs more than 9,000 people nationally, is growing its operations at both its Howden and Holme-on-Spalding-Moor sites, with more than 100 new roles up for grabs.

The new jobs are a result of growing demand for Howdens products, in particular its bespoke worktop offering, after homeowners’ continued investment in own-home renovation projects.

“We’re also in the process of launching new products that will further strengthen Howdens’ position as a market-leader and further increase demand.

“At a time when there is so much job uncertainty in the economy, we are hopeful that we are able to offer individuals a new and exciting career path.”

Those successful in applying for one of the new roles will be joining a company that features in The Sunday Times 25 Best Big Companies to Work For (2020), having remained consecutively on the list for the past ten years.
