IT IS hard enough getting children to do their homework, so you would think it would be impossible for parents to have to take over as teachers.
Yet, with schools closed for many months, the past year has seen this happen. Parents and carers have set up ‘classrooms’ in living rooms and kitchens at home.
Helped by online learning, they have tried their best to educate their children. Many have struggled, many families had insufficient resources. Others found it hard to combine teaching with home working.
Then there are some who enjoyed the experience, finding it challenging but also fun.
We would like to know how you got on with home schooling. We would love to hear about the ups and downs of life in these new ‘classroom’ surroundings.
