Viewers of ITV drama Honour were left sickened as the drama detailed the fate of real-life murder victim Banaz Mahmod.
A powerful moment in the drama came when a scene revealed harrowing details about what happened to Banaz and how she was murdered, with viewers seeing the reaction of investigator Det Supt Caroline Goode, played by Keeley Hawes.
The scene left viewers distressed as one of her killers had described Banaz's final moments as she was raped and tortured before her death.
As if this wasn't horrific enough, the drama's portrayal of how the system and local community failed to protect Banaz also left viewers truly shattered.
Taking to social media, fans shared their thoughts on the harrowing contents of the drama.
One viewer wrote on Twitter : "I’m watching #Honour on ITV and I’m all teared up man. It’s so upsetting.
"Banaz Mahmod was failed in the worst way and now she’s no longer here. This is why I feel so strongly about domestic abuse. It’s NOT a joke."
