Hollyoaks fans have been left shocked by a video posted on the Channel 4' soaps Twitter account that appears to confirm Sid Sumner is not dead.

Sid was stabbed by drug lord Victor Brothers and collapsed, before being found by Ste Hay who cried out for help.

In the next episode, Ste sobbed as he told the other characters that Sid was dead - and he did not look like he was lying.

However, many viewers predicted that contrary to Ste's belief, Sid did not die, and was in fact in witness protection after recording a confession from Victor and planning to tell the police.

Hollyoaks posted the video with the caption: "We know how much you're going to miss Sid, so we made this for you! Be sure to watch it all the way to the end... You're welcome! #Hollyoaks ".

In the video, Billy Price, who plays Sid, insists "it's not over" and as his death scene played out, it cut to Billy in the same position on the floor, before getting up - hinting that Sid survived.

"I'm not going anywhere," he said cheekily.

The video also paid tribute to all Sid's most dramatic moments, showcasing Billy's talent as the beloved character.

One fan replied: "Wait a damn minute, he had a sneaky smiled at the end... IS HE ALIVE #Hollyoaks ".
