Ander Herrera says Paul Pogba must find consistency if he is to secure his dream transfer to Real Madrid.

Manchester United midfielder Pogba has often flirted with the suggestion of a move to Spain and admitted last year that playing for Real Madrid would be 'a dream for anyone'.

"Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,” said Pogba.

“There is also [Zinedine] Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football."

Pogba continues to be linked with a move away from United at the end of the season although the financial implications of the coronavirus have cast doubt on the feasibility of such a high-profile move this year.

The French midfielder is expected to return to action with United in two weeks time when they travel to face Tottenham in the Premier League, with Pogba yet to feature this year following injury.

A strong end to the season would only amplify the transfer interest in Pogba for the summer months, and his former United teammate Herrera thinks finding consistency is the key to getting a move.

“Paul has it all, but a player of that price is required to be always very good," he told AS. "If he is able to have regularity in his game, it will be normal for Madrid or any other big club in Europe to want to sign him.”
