Heather Locklear returns to acting in Lifetime movie three years after arrest for ‘assaulting a police officer and EMT’

COMEBACK

HEATHER Locklear will make her return to acting in a new Lifetime movie.

The 59-year-old’s latest film comes three years after her arrest for “assaulting a police officer and EMT.”

Lifetime announced the new made-for-television movie Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff on Monday, which stars Heather and is produced by Meghan McCain.

Based on the life of author Kristine Carlson, the movie will follow Kristine- who is portrayed by Heather- as she deals with the aftermath of her husband unexpectedly passing away.

As she deals with her unimaginable grief, Kristine finds her voice as she navigates and rebuilds her family while dealing with the unimaginable loss.

In addition to the Melrose Place alum, the movie also stars Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter Natasha Bure as Kristine’s daughter Jazzy, Jason MacDonald as the main character’s husband Richard Carlson and Emily Rose as Richard's booker, Brianna.

The movie will mark Heather’s first acting role since her arrest over three years ago.

HEATHER'S TROUBLED PAST

Back in 2018, the star checked into a mental health facility after pleading no contest to eight misdemeanor offenses of battery and resisting officers following two incidents.

The Dynasty alum has spent years battling addiction issues and was arrested in February 2018 after police were called to her home in Thousand Oaks, California.

She was then arrested again after she allegedly punched a cop and kicked a paramedic - just days after she “threatened to shoot herself.”

A STAR'S COMEBACK

Her last acting credit was in 2017 when she appeared on Tyler Perry's TLC drama Too Close to Home.

Heather only appeared briefly in the first season before becoming a recurring character – First Lady Katelynn Christian – in the second and final season.

She also guest-starred on an episode of the ABC comedy Fresh Off the Boat during that same year.

The star shares 23-year-old daughter Ava with ex-husband Richie Sambora, while she was also previously married to Motley Crue's Tommy Lee.

Heather and her boyfriend Chris Heisser got engaged in April 2020.

SPOTTED

Back in June, The Sun exclusively shared photos of the Melrose Place star looking completely unrecognizable as she picked up some lunch and fill up her Porsche with gas.

During the outing in Los Angeles, Heather kept her day look casual in an all-black ensemble and without any makeup.

She wore a pair of tight bicycle shorts that hit her mid-thigh and a loose, asymmetrical tank top.
