Blackburn Rovers loanee Harvey Elliott placed a wreath that read '96 YNWA' at the front of the Leppings Lane End in memory of the 96 supporters that lost their lives at Hillsborough on the 15th April 1989.

Rovers are in action for their penultimate away fixture of the campaign against Sheffield Wednesday, where defeat for the hosts could condemn them to relegation should Derby County triumph in their fixture against Preston North End.

Elliott, on loan from Liverpool, carried a wreath from the team bus inside the ground and lay it before the Leppings Lane End, the scene of the tragic disaster 32 years ago.

In Rovers' previous fixture against Derby County on Friday evening, the teenage sensation scored the winning goal before revealing a vest that had '96 YNWA' scribbled on the front.

After the contest Elliott posted on Instagram: "A very emotional goal that meant so much to me! Justice for the 96."
