FASHION victims can splash out a whopping £610 for a pair of furry slippers that seem to be straight from the feet of Catherine Tate’s foul-mouthed Nana character.
Nana’s slippers come in shoe or boot form and in a range of colours and patterns. The boots cost £610 and slippers are £525.
Gucci says of the odd-looking unisex footwear: “The women's ankle boot is reinterpreted in textured fabrics, merino wool lining and a fabric covered midsole—elements that mimic slippers. One of Gucci's signature design details, the Horsebit is shown on the top of the toe.
“This wool is enhanced with the GG logo—first used in the 1970s it’s an evolution of the original Gucci rhombi design from the 1930s.”
And another pricey item is a pair of bright yellow work-style boots with a monster chunky sole for £700.
Would-be buyers are told: “The lug-soled ankle boot in shiny yellow leather is lined with faux fur, completed with a front zipper closure. Blue leather trims outline the shape with a Gucci logo print across the back.”

And to complete the look, there’s a pair of chunky knitted socks – a snip at £135.
Gucci says of the pricey hosiery: “Speaking to the Pre-Fall 2020 collection's attention to intricate details, this pair of cotton socks features a subtle GG motif, achieved using a needle punch technique.
“Presented in a particularly vibrant shade of blue and stretching to over-the-knee, eclectic socks continue to make a statement throughout Gucci's latest collections.”
