Antoine Griezmann has given fans an exciting update on how his virtual managerial stint at Newcastle United is going.

The Barcelona forward's now-famous Football Manager 2021 save, in which the Frenchman is in charge of Newcastle United, has been incredibly successful, both in terms of trophies and signings.

Last week, the France international revealed that he had signed Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe for the Magpies, in a stunning £134 million transfer, with the 30-year-old also uploading a picture of Mbappe holding a United number 7 shirt on Instagram.

But it's fair to say that his France teammate wasn't particularly impressed with the move.

"I have you in Newcastle, I bought you for €134m," Griezmann told Mbappe.

The PSG star responded: "Newcastle? It's not hot there!"

Back in April , the former Atletico Madrid man revealed that he had won the Premier League in charge of the Magpies, but more success was to come.

In the same video in which he told Mbappe about his Newcastle move, Griezmann explained the success he has had at St James' Park on FM21 so far, with the Magpies winning five titles in one season with him in charge.

That included both the Premier League and Champions League, as Griezmann proclaimed 'what a coach - I am the god of English football.'

And now Griezmann has given yet another exciting update on his Newcastle Football Manager 2021 save, revealing that he's currently reached Boxing Day and is in another Premier League title race in this particular season, which hasn't been specified.

“I am 6 points behind Manchester United, in 2nd, we are at Boxing Day," proclaimed Griezmann.

"The title will play out now.

But, there wasn't a new update from his France and Barcelona teammate Ousmane Dembele, who was apparently occupied with watching a Netflix series.

"Ousmane (Dembele) is watching Lupin, so no Football Manager adventure from him today.”

His virtual stint in charge of Newcastle United has already been incredibly successful, but it looks like another Premier League title may be on the cards for Griezmann. And, maybe some more superstar signings too.
