A LUCKY great gran landed the £500,000 Thunderball jackpot — then declared: “I always knew I’d win.”
Sheila Garrett, 80, previously pocketed around £15,000 on a similar game when she lived in the US.
The mum of three, who discovered her latest bonanza by logging on to her National Lottery account, is now confident of a third prize.
She used five numbers drawn from her birthday and those of her children plus her Thunderball choice, ten. Sheila used the same numbers, save the ten, to land the Fantasy Five in Florida.
She plans to spend the money on a bigger flat in her retirement community in Gravesend, Kent.
She said: “When I saw the message that I’d won, I just knew it would be the £500,000 top prize. I always knew I’d win Thunderball. I’ve already got my eye on the next win. It’s been a bit more each time so it’ll have to be EuroMillions next!”
