Good Morning Britain fans in hysterics as Olympian Max Whitlock’s daughter gatecrashes interview and knocks over camera

GOOD Morning Britain was thrown into chaos today as Olympian Max Whitlock's two-year-old daughter gatecrashed his interview.

Viewers were in stitches as Willow burst in to the room and knocked over her mum's camera whilst Leah Whitlock tried to usher the energetic tot away.

Max, 28, could see his daughter wandering in and out of view as his panicking wife, who was speaking from their home in Essex, apologised to GMB hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.

The family, including Max's mum Madeline, were reunited live on air for an interview after he secured an Olympic gold in Tokyo in the pommel horse yesterday.

Leah failed to keep inquisitive Willow away out of the room, saying: "I think you better go straight to Madeline!"

Max's mum jumped in and replied: "We are so so proud I can't put it into words, it would have been nice to be out there to support him but it was a very emotional day I'm so proud."

Speaking live from Tokyo, Max added: "I think Leah is trying to organise a celebration or something.

"We don't like to talk about it too much before the job is done but I can't wait.

"Willow has been missing me she's been wanting me home so I've got a few teddies and toys to bring back to her, I'm sure she'll be happy to hear that!"

The screen eventually returned to Leah and Willow but the pair were nowhere to be seen.

Show host Kate joked: "I sense she might be shouldering some parenting duties!"

Max admitted: "I've been away for a month, so it's a long time."

Viewers loved seeing the unscripted gaffe unfold and reacted on Twitter.

One wrote: "This kid of #MaxWhitlock on @GMB is absolutely hilarious 😂 Parents definitely got their work cut out"

And one more tweeted: "give the kid some decaf in future😂"
