Gogglebox stars Jenny and Lee leave fans devastated with poignant ‘farewell’ photo of empty caravan

SO LONG, SOFA

GOGGLEBOX stars Jenny and Lee have left fans devastated as they shared a poignant "farewell" photo from their caravan.

The best friends were marking the end of the Channel 4 show's current series, showing off their empty sofa as they leave our screens until later this year.

Taking to their shared social media accounts earlier today, the pair posted a photo of their now-famous grey sofa and its pink cushions.

The furniture is empty apart from an adorable teddy bear sitting on one side, with fans now having to wait until September for their next insight into Jenny and Lee's hilarious friendship.

They wrote: "Empty couch folks but its still #Gogglebox Friday, who’s going to watch the best bits of series 15?

"It's on tonight @C4Gogglebox 9pm so we can all reminisce together laugh, cry that’s Gogglebox for you.

"Enjoy Goggleboxers, see you all in September, much love JAL".

They also added several crying emojis for good measure, with many of their followers doing the same in the comment section.

Responding to the post, one heartbroken fan wrote: "Nooo it can’t end, it’s the highlight of my life never mind my week".

Another added: "Friday nights with no Gogglebox makes me sad."

A third shared: "Miss you both already, Friday will not be the same. Hurry up September."

Jenny and Lee recently proved how far their friendship goes back with an incredible throwback photo, and are so close that they even moved in together so that they could still film for Gogglebox during lockdown.

They became friends when Jenny was the landlady of a pub called The Crown Inn in East Riding, and Lee was a regular.

Although Jenny and Lee and our other favourite telly addicts won't be back on our screens until September, Celebrity Gogglebox starring Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, among others, kicks off next Friday night.
