GOOD Morning Britain's Alex Beresford has been left bed-bound with coronavirus since last week.
The 41-year-old star admitted to getting "relaxed" about washing his hands and wearing a mask in recent weeks as he urged followers to be careful.
Taking to his Twitter page, the TV presenter wrote: "Been in bed since last week with Covid. Feels like a really bad flu.
"I’ve been actively wearing my mask and washing my hands these last few months because I was on projects I couldn’t fall out of, but I know I relaxed up these last two weeks and here I am!"
Alex added: "I wouldn’t like to imagine how much worse I would be had I not had the vaccine."
Over on his Instagram page, the father-of-one asked fans for TV series suggestions.
He explained: "Currently home with Covid! Didn't think I'd get it this bad, to be honest.
"But been lying in bed since last week with what feels like flu. Totally not fun!"
Alex has understandably been absent from Good Morning Britain while he recovers from the virus.
He has appeared on ITV's breakfast TV since 2012, initially as a weather presenter but he also guest hosts GMB from time to time.
In March, he was famously embroiled in an on-air feud with Piers Morgan, who stormed off set after a run-in over Meghan Markle.
Piers later quit the show all together, with Richard Madeley set to replace him in the new year.
