We’re patiently waiting for the heatwave to return because, since we saw this gin recipe online and it came into our lives, we’ve needed a great excuse to try it out. And with the weather looking mildly warm this weekend, it seems like the perfect opportunity.
Originally posted in the Facebook Group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one member was quick to share her new cocktail discovery with the rest of the group.
Posting: “Gin lovers… Amazing!!!” - the picture shows two different flavours of Gordon’s Gin; the Sicilian Lemon gin and the Mediterranean Orange gin, with the matching Fanta flavours, lemon and orange.
It seems the group member has blended the matching gin and Fanta flavours with ice and created a boozy Ice Blast which you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
Fellow users were quick to tag their friends and alert them of the delicious tipple to try out at the next BBQ, socially distanced drink, date night or Friday night for that matter.
One person said: “I need to try this”.
Another was quick to join in and say: “You defo do”.
A third said: “Game changer”.
A fourth said: “We should give this a go!”
And a fifth commented: “We need to try this ASAP”.
Now if you’re tempted to give this a go at home this weekend, you can currently buy Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Distilled Gin at Amazon for just £14 and Gordon’s Mediterranean Gin from £21.97, also at Amazon.
Both of these flavours launched earlier this year and have been a hit with gin fans everywhere.
Gordon's Sicilian Lemon Distilled Gin has a Mediterranean twist on an original recipe from Alexander Gordon. The Sicilian Lemon taste is a crisp refreshing distilled gin with juniper and delicious juicy lemons. Zesty Sicilian lemons are balanced with Gordon’s original botanicals to deliver a crisp and juicy refreshing taste.
Meanwhile, Gordon’s Mediterranean Orange Distilled Gin has an orange taste profile, made by pairing the classic taste of Gordon’s with Mediterranean oranges.
You can also pick up your Lemon Fanta cans from Amazon for £16.98 - that’s a crate of 24 x 330ml cans (or about 70p per can).
You can also get Orange Fanta cans from Amazon for £15.78 for a crate of 24 x 330ml cans (or 65p per can).
To make the frozen beverage, blend ice with a good ratio of gin to Fanta until it’s at a slushy consistency, pour in your favourite glass and enjoy.
