Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein ‘seemed sexually aroused by Virginia Roberts’ stories of being abused by paedos’

GHISLAINE Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein seemed aroused by Virginia Roberts's account of being sexually abused as a child, Roberts has said.

Roberts, who has alleged long-term abuse by the pair, says she told them about her troubled past after meeting them in the summer of 2000, and that they responded by initiating a threesome.

The claims were laid out in a manuscript for a book by Roberts, titled The Billionaire Playboy's Club, that was unsealed along with other court documents by a judge in New York last week.

The manuscript includes an account of Roberts' first meeting with Epstein, which Maxwell allegedly arranged after meeting Roberts and offering her a job as a travelling masseuse.

Roberts says she and Maxwell began massaging Epstein as part of a "trial" for the job.

"Once I got a bit of a groove following Ghislaine, they began asking me all sorts of questions about my past and it didn't take long before the conversation led down the darker experiences of my younger life," Roberts wrote.

"When they found out that I hadn't led much of a normal existence they only probed me with more questions, which being put on the spot [I] answered honestly."

Roberts has previously recounted abuse she suffered as a child, including at the hands of a 65-year-old sex trafficker when she was 13 and homeless.

"The funny thing was they didn't seem appalled at all by my statements, rather entertained if anything," she wrote.

"Jeffrey called me a 'naughty-girl' with that wry smile of his, and half playful and half defensive, I answered 'no I'm not, I'm really a good girl, just always in the wrong places'.

"He then replied, 'It's O.K., I like naughty girls', and rolled over onto his front side to expose his complete nude self.

"I was incredibly shocked at his complete ease to present himself with an erection."

Roberts claims she then turned to see Maxwell standing "bare-breasted" and that, "before I had a chance to even think", Maxwell began undressing her while Epstein watched.

She then describes being extensively groped by the pair before, she claims, Maxwell directed her to have sex with Epstein and left the room.

The manuscript was originally submitted as part of a defamation case brought by Roberts against Maxwell in 2015 after Maxwell accused her of lying.

The case was settled in 2017 before it reached trial but, while more than 2000 pages of evidence were released, around 900 court filings remained under seal or redacted.

Roberts had requested the release of some of the documents for use in separate civil lawsuits.

Maxwell fought the release of five documents in particular on the grounds they contained "extremely personal” information.

Maxwell is currently awaiting trial on charges of enticement of minors, sex trafficking of children, and perjury over her alleged involvement in Epstein's crimes.

She has denied any wrongdoing.
