Geordie Shore spin-off hit with coronavirus scare after crew member tests positive

GEORDIE SCARE

GEORDIE Shore's spin-off show has suffered a coronavirus scare after a crew member tested positive for the disease.

The MTV hit, famous for its cast of hard-drinking youngsters, is offering Covid-19 tests to everyone involved.

An insider explained: "Social distancing measures were in place. However, some on the show are now asking if it returned to filming too early."

The coronavirus case was discovered after two days of shooting had ended on the Geordie Reacts spin-off.

It sees members of the cast watching back famous and controversial moments from the series, Gogglebox-style.

It is thought that the cast were not in close contact and that the crew members that were are now in isolation.

The Sun Online has contacted reps for the show and its maker Lime Pictures.

The 21st series of Geordie Shore began filming in October last year but, like almost all TV series, saw production was halted by the coronavirus crisis.

The Sun revealed earlier this month that Charlotte Crosby and Holly Hagan would be appearing on Geordie Reacts in its second series.

The reality series - which first graced our screens last year - got recommissioned, with the best pals reacting to old episodes.

The pair have a lot to watch considering that Geordie Shore first aired back in 2011 and has over 180 episodes in total.

Another Geordie Shore spin-off, Their Story, sees a different cast member each week describe their biggest moments, with tales viewers have never seen before.

Charlotte will be joined by best pals and fan-favourites Marnie Simpson, Holly Hagan, Sophie Kasaei, Aaron Chalmers, ex boyfriend Gaz, Chloe Ferry, Nathan Henry, Abbie Holborn and James Tindale.
