Gabby Petito sleuths convinced they’ve spotted a GUN and creepy ‘face’ in footage of last sighting of van

INTERNET sleuths claim to have spotted a "gun" and a "creepy face" in footage that appears to show the last sighting of Gabby Petito’s white camper van.

Travel vloggers Jenn and Kyle Bethune said they saw the Ford Transit vehicle while traveling through Wyoming on August 27 – two days after Gabby reportedly last spoke with her family.

Eagle-eyed online detectives have studied the footage and claim they can see a gun near the van’s exhaust.

The object appears to be lying near a sandal on the dirt track. It's not known if it is a firearm.

Internet detectives are wondering if it’s a gun that Gabby may have been holding in a photo uploaded to her TikTok channel.

The image was part of a video montage titled: “Reminiscing, 2020 memories. We have lots of big plans for this new year."

It was shared with her thousands of followers on January 12 this year.

Gabby is seen posing with a black object near her mouth where she appears to be kissing the tip. It’s not known if the vlogger was holding a firearm.

Twitter detectives sent a screenshot of the TikTok snap to the FBI as they try to help in the case.

Sleuths also claimed that they spotted a creepy “face” as the Bethunes traveled by the abandoned vehicle for the second time.

A Twitter detective said: “I increased the brightness and saturation of a screenshot with my iPhone and there is clearly a face in there.

Another commented: “At first I thought maybe a reflection of whoever is recording but it seems out of place for that and appears to be INSIDE the van too? Or am I going crazy here?”

Meanwhile, others appeared to be more skeptical as they said they couldn't see a "face".

Internet sleuths have noticed a series of clues in the Bethunes’ travel video that was uploaded to YouTube on September 19.

Some internet detectives claimed they saw someone digging in a field near where the vehicle was last seen.

One person wrote: “Someone needs to check that field asap, I don’t think it's her but there is something of significance he’s put out there, remains of her phone, jewelry, something of significance to her!!! Something is in a field to the left of the screen.”

Another Facebook user added: “Definitely a person there…” and attached a screengrab appearing to show a figure in some bushes behind the van.

There is no evidence that there was a "person" in the field.

Others shared snaps showing a pair of abandoned sandals left on a dirt track and speculated if they could belong to Gabby or Brian.

And, some noticed stickers near the number plates that appear to be from Venice, Florida.

Eagle-eyed amateur detectives noticed a hat lying on the dashboard of the van that looked similar to what Gabby was wearing in one of her last Instagram snaps.

Sleuths have also tried to help the FBI in the search to find Gabby’s missing fiancé Brian Laundrie.

Laundrie, 23, remains at large after he was reported missing on September 17.

Online detectives claim that he may be “disguising his walk” after bodycam footage shows his feet pointing outwards.

And, sleuths claim that he may have covered his tattoo with makeup or bandaids.

A photo uploaded to Instagram shows a vine leaf tattoo on one of his fingers but the artwork doesn’t appear to be showing in pictures from their road trip.

It’s not known if Laundrie had the tattoo removed or is covering it with makeup.

The search to find Laundrie has entered day 10 as FBI detectives continue to scour the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota, Florida.

Laundrie allegedly told his parents that he was going for a hike in a nature reserve. Laundrie’s whereabouts remain unknown

But reality TV star Dog the Bounty Hunter claims that the 23-year-old could be moving from island to island in a canoe.

He said he received a "hot lead" that Brian and his parents went into Fort De Soto Park in early September, and only the parents returned.

Dog told Fox News: “There’s a lot of little islands around the area where we’re at, that he could get to on a canoe. We talked to the caretakers today of the islands, they said he could be out here.

“He was here, for sure. Not over in the swamp."

The Fort de Soto Park area is about 75 miles from the Laundrie family home in North Port.

Steve Bertolino, who is representing the Laundrie family, said the 23-year-old’s parents do not know his whereabouts.
