Full list of road closures in the North-East and North Yorkshire due to flooding

THE region has been hampered by Storm Christoph as heavy rainfall has caused severe disruption to the region's roads.

Already a number of roads across the North-East and North Yorkshire have been either closed, or seen lanes closure, due to the volume of water.

We will be bringing you a list of road closures today, according to latest data supplied through Inrix.

A1(M) North Yorkshire

A1(M) Northbound exit slip road closed due to flooding at J56 B6275 Hang Bank (Barton) - last updated 9.30am

A174 Middlesbrough

A174 both ways closed due to flooding between Longbeck Road and A1053 Greystone Road (Greystones Roundabout). The road remains closed, having been shut since Wednesday evening between New Marske and Lazenby - last updated 8.50am

A19 Southbound lane closed on entry slip road due to flooding at A1027 Bypass Road (Norton Interchange). Lane one (Of two) is closed as you head down from the roundabout - last updated 9.36am

Lead Lane Westerdale

Slow traffic on A1085 Trunk Road Eastbound at A1053 Tees Dock Road. Not helped by the closures due to flooding - last updated 9.40am

A66 South Bank

Traffic returned to normal on A66 Eastbound from Normanby Road (Asda Traffic Lights, South Bank) to A1053 Tees Dock Road (Grangetown). Likely due to the closure of the A1085 Trunk Road and the A174 - last updated 9.20am

A1042 Kirkleatham Lane Dormanstown

Slow traffic on A1042 Kirkleatham Lane both ways at A1085 Trunk Road. Likely due to people diverting around the closure of the A174 and the A1085 - last updated 9.43am
