With the Easter Bank Holiday this weekend, there has been uncertainty regarding getting medical attention in the wake of coronavirus, on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
GP's are normally closed on bank holidays, but this year all practices will be open as usual on Good Friday (10th April) and Easter Monday (13th April).
NHS Walk-in Centres across Liverpool will also continue to operate daily between 8am – 8pm, apart from the city centre one on Hanover Street, however, anyone needing medical attention has been asked to call 0300 100 1004 to arrange an appointment first.
The NHS advice remains that anyone with coronavirus symptoms such as a high temperature or a new, continuous cough – and who is in need of medical advice – should use the dedicated NHS 111 coronavirus service online or call NHS 111 if you can’t get help online.
It is something that has, at some point, touched all our lives.
From cradle to grave, the National Health Service, and the incredible professionals within it who care for us, is a part of British life.
Today, more than ever, we should cherish those who dedicate themselves to our care, heedless of their own health as they work tirelessly to care for people in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
Nurses and others - employed by the NHS and any other part of health and care - we have never needed them more.
So let’s show them some love, and create a living map of gratitude from every corner of Britain.

Thanks a million, NHS workers - we love you.
When someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk, people should always call 999 immediately, just as they normally would.
Some pharmacies will continue to be open over the bank holidays and can be consulted for non-urgent medical advice, prescriptions and treatment.
