Frank Bough dead – BBC TV presenter & Grandstand star dies in care home aged 87

FORMER TV presenter Frank Bough has died at the age of 87.

Bough was most known for presenting BBC's flagship sports programme, Grandstand.

He also launched the BBC's Breakfast Time TV programme in 1983.

A family friend told the BBC that bough died last Wednesday in a care home.

His career began in 1964 when he presented the show Sportsview, taking over from Peter Dimmock

Bough established himself as a TV personality and became one of the highest-paid presenters on the BBC.
