A woman was filmed hurling abuse at binmen for blocking the road while they were collecting rubbish on the street.

The Audi driver, who has not been identified, was on a road parked with cars on both sides in West Kirby when a Wirral refuse collection lorry stopped in front of her car.

In the clip taken on Tuesday by another driver Aaron Casey-Sloan, the woman is seen firing swear words at the binmen, report Liverpool Echo .

She complains that the bin lorry "could have gone around the corner" instead stopping in the middle of the road while collecting the rubbish.

"You four-eyed f*** - f*** off, before I belt you," she shouted at the staff.

"These already think I'm high, I'm not high. You can record it if you want, I don't give a f***."

She even gives the staff the finger and calls them p****.

Dad-of-two Aaron, who was right behind the woman's car, said her tirade of abuse held up a trail of other cars behind her for nearly half an hour, as she called the binmen "lazy b******s" and threatened to assault them.

The bin lorry was stopped close to the junction of Gilroy Road and Paton Close when the woman, wearing a multi-coloured hat and fluffy coat, started verbally abusing staff.

Aaron said the refuse collection supervisor came over to try to talk to the woman and explain how they worked in an attempt to calm her rage.

The incident seems to have been sparked by the woman's anger at the binmen for not pulling their lorry around the corner to allow her to pass.

It is understood the incident was not reported to Merseyside Police.

Viewers blasted the woman and said the binmen deserve respect while carrying out a public service.

One said: "Those men are making an honest living! Treat them with the respect they deserve."

Another commented: "Best place for her is in the bin lorry."

A third wrote: "When you're hurling abuse at someone for doing there job, they have to empty the bins that day and they can't just skip a few houses so she can get past."
