FORT Hood is investigating the death of another soldier after a slew of deaths this year.
On Sunday, the body of Spc Francisco Gilberto Hernandezvargas was recovered from the water after a boating incident.
His death follows a slew of mysterious fatalities this year – but how many soldiers have died in 2020?
How many soldiers have been killed in Fort Hood?
Four soldiers have died at the Fort Hood military base this year.
An investigation into Hernandezvargas's death is currently underway.
Fort Hood is cooperating with local authorities and Bell County Sheriff's Office.
Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy is set to visit the base to engage with local civilian and military leadership.
Who are the Fort Hood soliders?
The body of Spc Vanessa Guillen, 20, was found in a shallow grave near the Leon River about 20 miles east of the Fort Hood military base following her April disappearance.
In June, police also found the skeletal remains of 24-year-old Pvt Gregory Scott Morales Oklahoma in a field after they received a tip following his disappearance on August 19, 2019.
The body of Pvt. Mejhor Morta, 26, of Pensacola, Florida, was found in the vicinity of Stillhouse Hollow Lake – around 20 minutes from Fort Hood military base in Texas on July 17.
The body of Hernandezvargas, from Woodside, New York, was also recovered from the water after a boating incident on August 2.
What did President Trump said about Guillen's murder?
Guillen’s family met with President Donald Trump last Thursday — and he promised to deliver justice for the Army soldier who was killed in April.
Trump, who met with Guillen’s mom, dad, two sisters, and family lawyer in the Oval Office, said: “We’ll get to the bottom of it.”
"So we’re going to look into it very powerfully,” the president said.
“We’ll get to the bottom of it, and maybe things can come out that will help other people in a situation like Vanessa.”
Federal prosecutors have said Guillen’s body, found in July, was mutilated and burned before it was placed in three different holes after she was bludgeoned to death.
Guillen was so badly beaten, she had to be identified through strains of her hair.
Where is Fort Hood located?
Fort Hood is a United States Army post located in Killeen, Texas.
It was called after the Confederate General John Bell Hood.
Fort Hood is located halfway between Austin and Waco and is about 60 miles from each city.
The base is the Army's Premier Installation to train and deploy heavy forces.
Fort Hood is the only post in the United States capable of stationing and training two Armored Divisions with A 214,968 acre installation, according to Military.com.
Why did a man threaten Fort Hood?
Mario Eloy Peña from Texas has been released on bond after allegedly threatening a mass shooting at Fort Hood to avenge Guillen's murder.
On July 30, Peña wrote a social media post saying there would “be an active shooter” at the base, according to an affidavit obtained by KXAN.
Guillen was last seen in the parking lot at Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters, 3rd Cavalry Regiment on the Fort Hood base, according to the US Army.
Family attorney Natalie Kwaham said she was beaten so badly that officials had trouble using dental records to identify her since her teeth were smashed up.
She was allegedly bludgeoned to death before her body was chopped up and encased in cement.
Murder suspect Aaron Robinson, 20, took his own life after fleeing the base.
His girlfriend Cecily Ann Aguilar, 22, was charged with one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence.
According to a complaint, Robinson told Aguilar he fatally struck a female soldier in the head with a hammer at Fort Hood on April 22 before moving her body to a remote Bell County location.
The suspects allegedly poured fresh concrete mix on the remains to create a "homemade body vault" where they then covered it in rocks, officials said.

Texas authorities are looking into allegations that Vanessa was sexually harassed before she disappeared.
She told her mother, Gloria Guillen, that she did not feel safe at the base and that a sergeant there had been sexually harassing her, according to Crime Online.
The hashtag #IAmVanessaGuillen began circulating on Twitter, and women with a history in the military have come forward to share their own stories of sexual assault.
