Formula E – Race at Home Challenge Finale: When is it? how can I watch it? And preview for double-header

title decider

EX-F1 stars Stoffel Vandoorne and Pascal Wehrlein are fighting to win the ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge this weekend.

Just one point separates the two men with Vandoorne narrowly ahead in the standings as they enter the double header.

Saturday sees FE stars race around the Berlin circuit before the final race in New York on Sunday - which will see double points awarded, meaning the title will go to the final race.

The competition was created by Formula E in partnership with Unicef, which has gone on to raise £100k towards their Coronavirus appeal.

The Race at Home Challenge has also sparked controversy after Daniel Abt lose his Audi seat after secretly getting a sim racer to step in for him.

When is the race and how can I watch it?

The eight-race online competition reaches its climax with a double-header this weekend.

The Berlin race is on Saturday 6 June, with the New York race taking place the following day on Sunday 7 June.

Races will be shown live in the UK from on 3.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

The live coverage is available on a number of platforms.

Fans can watch on BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Eurosport, Twitch as well as on Facebook and Twitter.

Vandoorne and Wehrlein are the frontrunners ahead of the final weekend.

Vandoorne has shown blistering pace and eventually won his first race last weekend after securing four pole positions previously.

But Wehrlein refuses to be shaken off after starting last race in seventh due to a penalty, before fighting to finish second.

The Mahindra ace has won two Race at Home Challenge events in Monaco and Hong Kong.

BMW's Max Guenther was an initial favourite to claim the title after dominating the early rounds but his form and fortune has drifted away since.

The German is now 32 points behind Vandoorne and now needs a miracle of finishing on top.
