The wait for the latest film by the maker of cult classic Twin Town will finally be over next month with a premiere in Llanelli.
La Cha Cha, by Kevin Allen, will get the red carpet treatment at Parc y Scarlets on September 10, with a star-studded guest list.
WalesOnline has an exclusive preview with the first showing of the film's trailer.
The film, set on Gower, tells the story of a woman who inherits a campsite populated with eccentric elderly residents which is in financial difficulties and who turns to smuggling pharmaceutical contraband to raise funds to save it.
It reunites stars of Twin Town including twins Rhys and Llyr Ifans, Dougray Scott, Keith Allen, Will Thomas, Boyd Clack, Di Botcher, Sue Roderick, and Sion Tudor Owen, with Mark Thomas again providing the film score.
But it is a stand-alone film with the actors playing completely different characters to the '90s classic.
Rugby superstars Phil Bennett, Alun Wyn Jones, James Hook, Ken Owens, Scott Quinnell and Sean Fitzpatrick also make an appearance.
Filmed on Gower's Werganrose farm, it was written and set during the Covid-19 lockdown, posing challenges for cast and crew.
Kevin's brother Keith Allen, who was most recently on our screens in his acclaimed performance as Welsh serial killer John Cooper in ITV drama The Pembrokeshire Murders, said he is hoping to return to Llanelli next month for the showcase.
He said: "I love coming back to this part of the world. I've got nephews and nieces here and I've still got an uncle too I think.
"And it's great the premiere is being held at Parc y Scarlets. I'm a Scarlets fan - I much prefer rugby to football any day of the week.
"So it was brilliant getting to meet Phil Bennett and Alun Wyn Jones and Sean Fitzpatrick and the rest of them during this film.
"I had a chat with Phil who told me about a mural in Llanelli that features both himself and me on it.
"I had no idea. It was very humbling, me just some old oik on a picture with a legend like Benny".
As well as the stars of Twin Town, the film also features Melanie Walters from Gavin & Stacey, and Ruby and Sonny Ashbourne Serkis, the children of actor/director Andy Serkis, who starred as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Tamzin Malleson, and the film's lead Liam Hourican, whose credits include The IT Crowd and The Tracey Ullman Show.
It also stars Game of Thrones and Jojo Rabbit actor Alfie Allen, who happens to be the son of Keith.
"We've only worked together once before," said Keith.
"I didn't give him any advice whatsoever. He's a much more successful actor than I am.
"The whole filming was a lot of fun, and all power to Kev's elbow for putting it together.
"People really committed to it, it wouldn't have worked if they hadn't.
"It was filmed in the middle of the pandemic, but I didn't really notice the Covid restrictions. On site we were working within a bubble, we were just part of a team.
"It feels like we've been living with it for the last forty years to be honest".
On working during the pandemic, Rhys Ifans said: “ For a moment we got to escape and forget the bleak monotony of a pandemic, to bring some warmth, joy, lunacy ,and liberty to the world.
"Kevin Allen yet again boosts a nation's mental health with the little piece of heaven that is La Cha Cha “

Dougray Scott added: "It was a real joy to be back in Wales filming with a bunch of naked Welsh people.
"I loved filming with the Twin Town crew and in particular getting to team up with Kevin again.
"I was honoured to be part of this wonderful film and hope to get the chance to film with them all again. I cant think of anywhere else I’d rather film Diloch yn fawr!”
Tickets for the premiere at Parc y Scarlets are available here. The film will be in cinemas across Wales from September 17.
Work on the long-awaited companion piece to Twin Town, the cannabis themed Tin, is due to restart later this year.
