The fire brigade rushed to Fife Field today. Huge flames spread rapidly over the farmers' crops.
At approximately 3:10 pm, ambulance crews attended the fires at Pittscotti and Ceres, near Cooper, after smoke was seen billowing across the sky.
Witnesses said farmers were seen trying to remove hay bales from the fields, causing widespread crop damage.
Firefighters are believed to be at the scene tonight.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:
"The Office of Operations Management has mobilized four appliances to the scene and is currently fighting the fire.
"No casualties have been reported."
