Players can finally start playing FIFA 22 today, over a week before the game's official release date, but only with an EA Play subscription.
EA Play is a subscription service that costs £3.99 per month or £19.99 annually for Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5. There's also an EA Play Pro subscription, which costs £14.99 per month or £89.99 annually , but this is only available for PC players.
If you've got Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC, you will have access to EA Play at no additional cost, but Xbox Game Pass for Console does not include EA Play.
Players who subscribe to the EA Play service can secure early access to FIFA 22, over a week before the game's official worldwide and UK release date of Friday October 1, 2021.

EA Sports has confirmed that players who have subscribed to EA Play on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC can start their early access 10-hour trial of FIFA 22 from 6 pm BST UK time on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
It is only a 10-hour trial, so it's a limited amount of playtime, but all of your progress will still carry over when the full game becomes active upon release on October 1, or Monday, September 27 if players have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 22.

FIFA Ultimate Team fans can also start their FUT 22 journey with the FIFA 22 FUT Web App, which launches on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, coinciding with the release date of the EA Play early access trial. The FUT Companion App will launch on Thursday, September 23, 2021 .
If you do decide to use EA Play to get 10 hours early access to FIFA 22, you will still have to purchase an edition of FIFA 22 to play the game after your 10-hour trial has expired.
