Fernando Torres accepted Atletico Madrid's invitation to sit in the Spanish club's VIP suite for Tuesday night's Champions League win over Liverpool.
Former Spain international forward Torres represented Liverpool and Atletico Madrid during his career in football, and is set to be at both legs of the last-16 tie.
Torres has a good relationship with fans from both clubs, joining Liverpool from Atletico Madrid in 2007, before heading back to the Spanish giants from AC Milan in 2015.
Ahead of Tuesday night's match at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, Torres was invited to sit among the Atletico Madrid top brass in the club's swanky VIP suite.
And according to Spanish publication AS, the 35-year-old took Atletico Madrid up on the offer, meaning he was technically supporting the home side in the first leg.
Atletico stormed into an early lead against Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, when Saul Niguez bagged in just the fourth minute against the defending champions.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool responded exactly as you'd expect, but couldn't find a breakthrough.
Mohamed Salah was among the Reds stars who came close with a header, and the Egyptian even had the ball in the back of the net.
But Salah's effort was correctly ruled out as Roberto Firmino was in an offside position.
Liverpool, who have all-but wrapped up the Premier League this season, have it all to do in the second leg in March after the 1-0 defeat, when Atletico travel to Anfield.
