A BUILDER dad murdered his kids by injecting building foam down their throats to get revenge on their mum, a court heard today.
The construction worker, named only as Laurent F, is accused of strangling little Maya, two, and five-year-old Leo until they were unconscious.
He then allegedly injected the "fast acting construction foam" into their mouths to close off their airways so they couldn't be saved.
After the two youngsters died, the 55-year-old dad tucked up their bodies in bed and waited for his ex-wife to find them, it was said.
The dad, originally from France but living in Dresden, Germany, then allegedly attempted to kill her by battering her with a heavy object from behind.
But the court heard she was wearing a "thick wig" that managed to stop a fatal blow - with Laurent F continuing to beat her as she fled.
He only stopped the brutal attack when he was disturbed by horrified neighbours ,who ran inside the building to check on the children.
Tragically they thought Maya and Leo were sleeping until they noticed they weren't breathing and attempted to resuscitate them.
It was then they discovered the construction foam blocking their airways, the court was told.
Prosecutor Till von Borries said Laurent F had blamed his wife after he spiralled into debt - culminating in him trying to smuggle crystal meth into the country from Poland.
After he was arrested, the dad is said to have wanted to cause the "maximum damage to his wife" so allegedly murdered his kids while they were staying with him.

The prosecutor said: "The indictment alleges that on 9th May 2019, the building subcontractor strangled his two children Maya, 2, and Leo, 5, in his apartment until they were unconscious.
"In order to make sure that nobody was able to resuscitate them at the last minute, he then injected fast acting construction foam into their mouths in order to close off their airways."
The trial continues.
