Fans were delighted to see Manchester music icon Heather Small on their tellies as they settled down to watch I Can See Your Voice.

The M People legend was a guest star on the BBC One show hosted by Paddy McGuinness, which challenges contestants and celebrities to guess who can sing from a line-up of singing sensations and woeful warblers.

And viewers were thrilled when the 56-year-old Moving On Up hitmaker picked up the microphone for the final segment of the show.

Heather, who was the lead singer of the band M People with a string of massive hits in the 90s and went on to become a hit solo artist, belted out Moving On Up with a fashionista who turned out to be an imposter and won £10,000.

Fans were blown away by Heather's performance alongside the non-singer and took to Twitter to say she's still definitely got it.

"How good was Heather Small then! Wow! Her voice," praised one.

"What a cracking show tonight absolutely loved it and wow Heather Small!" applauded another.

"Watching I can see your voice. Man Heather Small still has a belting voice," praised another fan.

"God, Heather Small has still got it, hasn't she?" commented another.

Another tweeted: "What a voice."

And another said: "Heather Small still has a fantastic voice."

Heather, in cut-out form, was one of the stars of the sitcom Miranda which ran until 2015.

A cardboard cut-out of her face was stuck to a stick and was used by character Stevie Sutton while singing “what have you done today to make you feel proud?” from her 2000 single Proud.

The real Heather appeared in the final episode of the BBC1 show to sing it right back at actress Sarah Hadland.

Heather's distinctive voice sold more than 10 million albums worldwide with M People, formed by Hacienda DJ Mike Pickering.

Their hits also included Colour My Life, Excited, Sight For Sore Eyes, One Night In Heaven and Search for the Hero.

Her song Proud was associated with the British Olympics team and was the theme song to The Oprah Winfrey Show.

In 2008 she starred in the sixth series of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing with Brian Fortuna and they were placed ninth overall.

Heather also sang the rerecorded vocals on the number one hit Ride on Time by the Italian dance group Black Box.

It topped the UK singles chart for six weeks and was the UK's bestselling single of 1989.
