Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers both have busy summers ahead as the two Lancashire clubs aim to improve their squads for the 2021/22 season.

Both sides had average campaigns last time out with PNE finishing 13th and Rovers 15th in the Championship.

The loan market was utilised efficiently at Deepdale and Ewood Park in 20/21, with North End signing the likes of Sepp van den Berg and Daniel Iversen while Tony Mowbray added Harvey Elliott, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and more.

Permanent signings will be eyed this window but given the success with temporary signings, it will be interesting to see whether that market is explored once again.

Rovers had already agreed a deal for Harry Pickering, back in January, so he will be in for pre-season.

North End have brought in Liam Lindsay on a permanent deal and are poised to add to that one addition, with several names linked.

As ever, some clubs in the Championship have been quick off the mark - especially Huddersfield Town and Queens Park Rangers.

Here is a round-up of all the completed deals in the second-tier.
