Everton got past Rotherham in extra-time in round three of the 2020/21 FA Cup a fortnight ago, but they marched on to round five today by beating Sheffield Wednesday at Goodison Park.
The Blues will now take on either Wycombe Wanders or Tottenham, who beat Marine in the previous round.
The FA Cup represents a good chance to get some silverware for Everton this season, and Carlo Ancelotti named a fairly strong team for the 3-0 win.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed the 2-1 win at Wolves but was back and on the scoresheet again tonight.
Take a look back on our live updates on how the game unfolded, plus all the best post-match reaction.
Big Dunc on Onyango and Small coming on
"Brilliant isn't it. What a fantastic game to come into. We're all delighted for them. Hopefully a big future but it's early days"
A professional display from Everton with some lovely football and a solid defence.
As comfortable as it gets ...more importantly, Prenno now has to buy me a beer, which I know you're all delighted about.
Great night's work for the Blues.
3-0 win. Into the next round. DCL back in the goals. Rodriguez in fine form.
And Thierry Small on to make history!
Who was your MOTM? Vote below:
Congratulations to Thierry Small!
16 years, 176 days.
The youngest man EVER to play for Everton.
He beats previous record holder Jose Baxter by just 15 days.
Everton history is made!
Tyler Onyango comes on for Gomes.
And Everton history is made as Thierry Small joins him in place of Rodriguez.
16-year-old Small becomes the youngester player EVER to represent the Blues!
Onyango and Small are the only two Everton players warming up at the minute.
Will either of the youngsters get a late debut?
From Greg O'Keeffe on Twitter:
Strident words between Carlo Ancelotti and Richarlison there after the Brazilian strolls off looking fed-up to be subbed. Either cajoling or a bit sterner. Hard to tell.
For someone who "doesn't run", James Rodriguez has popped up absolutely everywhere tonight.
Influential in every sense of the word.
More subs for the Blues
Gordon and Kenny look to be the next ones on.
Meanwhile...great block from Holgate to deny Windass.
Godfrey in the book
Catches Harris and can't complain. Not a great challenge.
Fresh legs for away side, who have made three changes in the last 10 minutes or so.
Brown, Penney and Dele-Bashiru all on.
DCL off...Bernard on.
Great to see the main man back and in the goals.
And now he gets a (slight) rest for Leicester. Ideal.
Get the ale in, Prenno?
Calvert-Lewin has one cleared off the line!
Everton are really purring now.
By the way, if the scoreline stays like this then Prenno owes me a beer of my choosing, so I need all of your fingers crossed please.
Could this half have gone better?
This will be EXACTLY what Ancelotti asked for at the break.
Get the game won, allow me to start making changes.
An hour gone - and it's fair to say the Blues can start thinking about resting people for Leicester soon.
Get in there Blues
Another corner, another header, another goal!
Everton are playing very, very professionally right now.
This is everything the Rotherham match wasn't.
Rodriguez and Richarlison link up
What a corner that is from James Rodriguez first of all, right into the most dangerous area.
But that will do Richarlison the world of good, because it wasn’t an easy chance to convert by any stretch.
He still had to leap so well and direct it into that far corner, and he did that expertly. Clearly his confidence has already taken a boost as only a great save has stopped him scoring again!
