Estate agent jailed for defying restraining order to carry on stalking campaign against ex

'TOXIC AND ABUSIVE'

AN estate agent defied a restraining order to carry on a stalking campaign against his ex.

Tobias Gorman, 30, vowed revenge after being ordered to stay away from actress and dancer Sophie Adnett.

On one occasion, he used a social media photo of the 27-year-old to track her down to a beach and sit next to her.

He also twice assaulted her in her home, sent malicious messages to her workplace and crashed his motorbike into her car.

Gorman was jailed for three and a half years at Bournemouth crown court.

Ms Adnett said: "I was in a very toxic and abusive relationship that isolated me from the rest of the world which I tried to leave many times.

"When I eventually managed to leave the relationship it got worse by being stalked and harassed daily for four months until my friends helped me report it.

"My life has now changed forever, I am not the same person I was.

"I have been emotionally scarred with everything that has happened in and after the relationship.

"He's left me depressed and anxious and I live in fear every time I hear a noise outside the house.

"I cry myself to sleep almost every night.

"I am grateful to the judge for taking the case seriously and making me feel heard and protected."
