Emmerdale’s Michelle Hardwick ‘counting down the days’ until she gives birth to first baby with wife Kate Brooks

EMMERDALE’S Michelle Hardwick admitted she’s so excited she’s “counting down the days” until she gives birth to her first baby with wife Kate Brooks.

The actress beamed for the photo as her beloved lay a protective hand on her growing belly and the two mums-to-be grinned.

Michelle, who plays Vanessa Woodfield on the soap, looked radiant for the photo as she captioned the snap: “Counting down the weeks”

Michelle and Kate, who is a producer on the show, were enjoying a socially distanced baby shower when the photo was taken.

Michelle is due to give birth any day now and the actress recently took to Twitter to get some more information after recent Covid-19 measures were announced.

She tweeted: “Hey hope you’re both well. I’m due to give birth in a matter of weeks at one of your hospitals, and I’m just wondering, in light of the #butnotmaternity petition, are there any plans to relax the Covid rules on the labour and maternity ward? Xx”

The 42-year-old shares a stunning home with wife Kate and their dog Fred, after moving in July 2018.

The couple married a year ago at Graceland in America after eloping together.

Michelle posted a throwback snap recently and a picture showing her bump. She captioned it: "What a difference a year makes!

"Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to my soulmate, best friend and beautiful wife. Here’s to the next chapter Brooksy. We love you so much  #fredlooksthrilled #countingdowntheweeks."

Back in April Michelle and Kate took to Instagram to announce their baby news with a picture of Kate holding their dog Fred and pointing at Michelle's baby bump.

She wrote: "Fred's big brother duties commence in October #BabyBrooks."
