Emmerdale viewers were left feeling rather angry on Thursday evening as Liv Dingle was arrested.
The police arrived in the village the morning after Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) phoned them to reveal she had more information about Ben Tucker's death.
Explaining that they had some more information about Ben's passing, the male officer quickly arrested Liv (Isobel Steele) as her family looked on.
Sam Dingle was absolutely fuming when he released it was Lydia who had called the cops and declared that she had broken the Dingle code.
As Aaron found out the bad news, he raced home to try and retrieve Ben's phone - but he was too late.
The police recovered the mobile device and therefore found the video of Liv attempting to attack Ben (Simon Lennon) when she was drunk.
Things went from bad to worse for the youngster as she was grilled at the police station.
Despite insisting that she didn't kill Ben, the officer explained that they had seen the footage and that Liv's DNA was also found under Ben's fingernails.
"You've got the wrong person," Liv sobbed as she pleaded her innocence to the officer.
As the second episode came to a close, Aaron was seen confiding in Chas as he explained he knows his little sister didn't kill Ben.
The phone then rang and when Aaron realised it was Liv, he asked her if he should go and pick her up from the station.
"No, I can't come home Aaron. I've been charged with murder," she told him through tears.
"They found the phone footage, they found my DNA on Ben, they think I killed him! But I didn't Aaron, I promise you I didn't! Liv continued.
Soap fans were left feeling so angry by the development, and the fact that Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) could be getting away with murder yet again.
One person tweeted: "If # Emmerdale allows Liv to go down for this, I’m personally paying a visit to Emmerdale Farm to sort Meena out myself."
Another posted: "Poor Liv she's telling the truth #emmerdale."
A third person added: "Meena should be the one getting arrested not Liv. Meena gets away with everything #Emmerdale."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
