Elizabeth Warren accuses Bloomberg of telling female employee to ‘KILL’ unborn baby in furious Democratic debate

ELIZABETH Warren accused Mike Bloomberg of telling one of his female employees to "KILL" her unborn baby during Tuesday night's Democratic debate.

Speaking in front of an raucous audience in Charleston, South Carolina, the Senator claimed that billionaire Bloomberg made the apparent warped joke to a former staffer.

The claim originally emerged in a lawsuit in the 1990s and was vehemently denied by the former New York City mayor before it was settled out of court.

"The core of the Democratic party will never trust [Michael Bloomberg]," Warren said.

But a defiant Bloomberg reacted angrily to Warren's on-stage barrage, insisting he "never said" the comment, "period."

The furious clash follows last week's Nevada debate, during which Bloomberg's first on-stage performance of his campaign was derailed by references to his company's use of non disclosure agreements (NDAs).

Bloomberg's favorability saw a 20 point slide after his performance in Las Vegas, according to a Morning Consult Poll.

He also saw a 3 per cent drop in Democratic primary voters who said that he was their first choice for president.

Bloomberg later agreed to release three women from NDAs after huge pressure brought on by his debate mauling over sexism claims.

The businessman announced on Twitter that he would be releasing his former employees from their NDAs - allowing them to speak about the alleged harassment they experienced while working for the billionaire.

"If any of them want to be released from their NDAs, they should contact the company and they'll be given a release."

Former employee Sekiko Garrison alleged in a 1997 lawsuit against the Democratic presidential candidate that when she told him she was pregnant, he responded: "Kill it!"

He said the former New York Mayor "did not make any of the statements alleged in the Sekiko Garrison case."

Bloomberg is one of the country’s richest men, worth an estimated $60 billion.
