Eddie Howe was in agreement with Gary Lineker over how vital Callum Wilson's fitness would be to Newcastle United's survival chances.
The Magpies number nine was once again on the scoresheet as he notched his sixth goal of the season as the Toon moved off the foot of the Premier League table.
It's a remarkable first win for Newcastle and first clean sheet of the campaign as they look to kick start their season.

The Magpies now face a tough run of fixtures heading into the new year, but Howe would not turn his attention to the January transfer window with his focus on the current crop on players and the fight against relegation.
Here's a full transcript of the conversation between The Match of The Day host and Newcastle boss:
Gary Lineker: "Eddie, many congratulations. First win of the season, first clean sheet of the season, you must be delighted?"
Eddie Howe: "Yeah absolutely for everyone connected with the club. I was a massive game for us today, well aware of the importance of the fixture and I thought the lads really responded after the first 20 minutes.
"I thought we were very good today especially from a defensive perspective."
GL: "First clean sheet is pretty important. How was it on the sidelines, pretty tense because victories are vital at the moment aren't they?"
EH: "Yeah, that's an understatement I think Gary! Very nervy towards the end because we were so desperate for the win.
"Everyone stood up to the task and the spirit the group have shown has been exceptional but the atmosphere in the stadium today was absolutely exceptional. I can't praise the supporters enough for what they've given me and the team in the last few games.
"It really does make the difference."
GL: "Another goal for Callum Wilson, a player you obviously know very well, it's crucial that you keep him fit isn't it?
EH: "It is. That was a delicate one this week with three games in a week, but we felt he was so important to the team we needed to play him and ask him to go again.
"He was excellent today. His finish for the goal was really high class because it wasn't an easy situation for him to find the top corner with.
"He's going to be vital for us. He's been a goal scorer all through his career and we're going to need him between now and the end of the season."
GL: "Everyone is talking about January but you've got some massive games in December haven't you?"
EH: "Yeah the fixtures list as a group doesn't look kind. January, for me, is going to be important for us but it pales into insignificance when talking about your current squad.
"The players we have here we really like. We need to maximise those players first."
GL: "Can you keep them up, Eddie?"
EH: "Yeah, for sure we can. I've always believed that it's possible.
"We've obviously come from a difficult position and I'm sure there's a long road ahead, with twists and turns, ups and downs, but I believe in the group we have."
